Marilyn Cobb Attains Royal Family

Congratulations go out to Marilyn Cobb for reaching the highest level achievement of Richway International, Royal Family.  This is an inspiring story and is presented below.

In 1992, Marilyn Cobb’s passion for Jin Shin Jyutsu prompted her to enroll in massage school. Jin Shin Jyutsu is a style of bodywork originating in Japan which promotes energetic movement through gentle pressure on multiple acupressure points. This is considered an inner bodywork modality because the techniques release emotional, spiritual, and physical energies. In massage school she implemented her Jin Shin Jyutsu training with massage, discovering her calling and gift as a healer.

Through the years, Marilyn’s life journey happily brought her and fiancé Jeff Reich together. As an ex-football player for the Florida Gators, Jeff suffered from many sports injuries. Upon the recommendation of Jeff’s physician they invested in an infrared sauna for home use. However, Jeff had a hard time with the heat and could withstand only 10 minutes at a time.

Then in 2005 college colleagues Gail Soucy and Jeff exchanged their annual Christmas cards, that year’s card to Jeff contained something extra special – a BioMat brochure! Marilyn understood the benefits of infrared sauna heat, and she was intrigued with the BioMat technology. She also thought Jeff would be much more comfortable with the BioMat technology; no more agonizing time in the sauna.

Upon purchasing the BioMat, Gail mentioned to Marilyn there was a business opportunity too. Marilyn adamantly responded that she was not interested since she had previously lost plenty of time and money with other networking opportunities. Besides she thought, she is not a salesperson, she’s a healer.

Marilyn did change her mind about the Richway opportunity and within two months, she reached RichWay’s Diamond Executive level of achievement through sales to clientele and family members.

One of the reasons Marilyn reached Diamond so quickly and easily is because of her own experience with the BioMat. From years of work as a massage therapist she had developed chronic tendonitis, plus a herniated disc that caused her arms to go numb every night. As a result she had to slowly taper her work load down to about two clients per day. Marilyn proactively used her sauna 4-5 times a week for three years, hoping for relief and she had little expectations that the BioMat’s infra-red heat could do more to assist her.

As it turned out for Marilyn, the BioMat turned into a relaxing tool, she would lay on it for 20-30 minutes once or twice a day on a high gold temperature setting.  This simple action made an unexpectedly huge impact on her quality of life.

After using the BioMat for only three weeks, Marilyn detoxed much more deeply than the sauna treatments to the point of coughing up mucus, her chronic tendonitis cleared, and her arms no longer went numb at night.

As the months went by she noticed other health improvements. For instance, her limited practice of two clients a day changed after 3 weeks on the BioMat to working on 6 clients in one day with no problems. Then 5-6 months later while in the hair shop, she noticed her neck could be on the shampoo basin without issues which had previously been a major problem.

Marilyn now laughs about how much she initially didn’t like the Amethyst Pillow, to the point of even sending it back to Richway. Then it was explained how important the pillow was and she decided since she was selling the BioMat she needed to understand the principles behind the pillow. After getting the pillow back, she could only use it for 5 minutes at a time before throwing it to the side. Gradually the usage time increased and her neck became much better. Marilyn truly feels the BioMat in conjunction with the pillow is what really healed her neck.

Over the next three years, Marilyn continued her massage and Jin Shin Jyutsu practice along with promoting the BioMat in the small town of Indialantic, Florida. During that time she had her share of negative actions from fellow distributors which really turned her further from ‘being a salesperson’. However, her personal experience and love of the BioMat kept her selling them.

Marilyn expressed much appreciation to Gail Soucy for her support, especially in keeping her spirits up when times were tough. Admittedly, Marilyn sometimes found herself negatively focusing on ‘the bad economy’ or ‘I can’t find distributers interested in selling’. Gail and would call her out on this less than success based behavior and suggested changing it by envisioning the positive. Marilyn felt Gail really cared about her success and was generous with her time, which helped tremendously.

Marilyn is very attune to energy flow, through her experience with Jin Shin Jyutsu, massage, and the BioMat. Last year feeling a bit stuck with her Richway business, Marilyn was deeply inspired to take her Richway business to a higher level. Instead of lingering within a field that felt stuck, she knew there were millions of people waiting that really needed the BioMat. With a renewed purpose of intent, she energetically decided to rise above it all and strive for higher ground – The Royal Family.

First she focused on herself, by believing in herself and embodying a positive attitude. Secondly, she needed a support team and luckily for her she pulled together an amazing support team; both sons, her daughter, girlfriends she knew for over thirty years, and her fiancé Jeff all came together to support Marilyn’s journey to Royal Family.

Marilyn shares that she felt so much love, trust and support from her team.  ”They were the wind beneath my wings!” she exclaimed. When they worked tradeshows together, they all told Marilyn to place the sales under them where they would help her most to reach Royal Family. Of course, the sales would still go under the distributor, but also under Marilyn’s business centers that were under them. That win/win placement took some strategy! Which Marilyn proclaims she is now an expert business center strategist.

To grow her Richway business she chose to travel around the USA to various tradeshows. Again, she has an awesome sales crew that genuinely loves the BioMat and Marilyn. Additionally, she had the family support of her two sons that live in San Diego; one helped with the upfront finances for the tradeshows while the other son, her daughter in Atlanta, and fiancé Jeff helped work the tradeshows.

Two other distributors made a huge contribution to Marilyn’s Royal Family success and are also longtime girlfriends, Debra Blaker and Barbara McDaniel. Debra is a successful nurse practitioner that runs a pain clinic and family practice in Eugene, Oregon who loves the BioMat. Her professional expertise has provided a great impact on the growth of their RichWay business. Barbara McDaniel also involved with Jin Shin Jyutsu located in Asheville, North Carolina has been friends with Debra and Marilyn for the past 30 years. The trio spent time together in a spiritual community having remained very close and supportive throughout the years.

Marilyn claims the key to her Royal Family success was getting herself in the right frame of mind and the unconditional trust, love, and support she received from her family and friends.

Richway’s business model allowed Marilyn and her supportive team to simultaneously benefit from sales. This is one important aspect that Marilyn is very grateful for, because as her team supported her to reach Royal Family she could help them, too.

Marilyn can’t reiterate enough that this was an intense and rewarding year for her, she shares that it took an amazing amount of strategizing while looking at the business center circles, figuring out how to assist herself, and her team players. The tradeshows took intense logistic planning; she did about 15 shows in 6 months.

When asked what’s next, she says more shows sharing the BioMat and supporting the success of her team; there are so many more that need to know about the BioMat.
